Dress

Although there is no formal uniform policy at nursery, a nursery sweatshirt  and polo are available for purchase if desired.  The sweat shirts will save other clothes from becoming spoiled.

You will  receive a white bag when your child joins us, which should be used to bring spare clothes and indoor shoes to nursery.   We would appreciate it if you did use this bag as they are space saving by hanging easily on the children’s pegs.

All uniform including polo shirts and sweat shirts are available to purchase at cost price.   All uniform is good quality and washes extremely well.

Should you not wish to utilise uniform, normal day clothes should be worn (please don’t send children in their best clothes as they will enjoy messy play and craft activities – the nursery takes no responsibility for clothes becoming stained or dirty).

Children must also bring a pair of Wellington boots and wet suit to nursery to use when playing outdoors, as even if the ground is wet, we still enjoy the fresh air.

We also ask that the children bring a warm coat and hat during cold weather and that in the summer they bring a sun hat for protection and also that “sun block” be applied to all exposed flesh at home before they come to nursery. Most sun blocks last for several hours unless exposed to water, so one application in the morning should afford good protection. Sun protection creams should never be sent to nursery in children’s bags as at best the results of children trying to apply it themselves is messy and at worst may present a health hazard.

ALL CLOTHES AND BELONGINGS MUST BE CLEARLY MARKED WITH YOUR CHILD’S NAME, INCLUDING OUTDOOR CLOTHES, SHOES AND BOOTS.

Please send in adequate spare clothes especially for babies and toddlers who are potty training.

If your child is still using nappies, please make sure we have adequate supplies. You will be informed via EYlog if your child is requiring more nappies
