Lost Property

Parents are encouraged to clearly label all their children’s clothing and belongings to help avoid items going missing or being misplaced.

Unless it has acted negligently, the nursery does not accept any responsibility for loss of property in the nursery. Lost property will be displayed at the end of each term. Any items not claimed will be disposed of in August and in December.

After School Pick Up From Tenterden Infants And Juniors

An additional service provided by The Old School House is school pick up from Tenterden Infants and Junior schools.   Children are collected by senior staff and transported back to TOSH to enjoy after school relaxation, fun and some continued learning.   Homework is supported and reading shared if parents wish this to be completed before the children retire to home.    Children are provided with a high tea at approximately 4.30 p.m.  before latest collection at 6 p.m.

This is again a subsidised service provided to enhance provision in the local area a charge of £15.00 per pick up, care to 6 p.m. and high tea included.

This collection service is available to all families and children attending Tenterden School, with preference given to those families who did attend TOSH or who still have siblings attending.

Employing Staff From The Old School Nursery

If Parents / carers decided to employ on a full or part-time basis between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. a member of OSHN staff a recruitment fee based on 20% of the staff member’s OSHN salary is payable by the parent to OSHN.

For three months after leaving OSHN, staff are not permitted to work for any parent, unless agreed with OSHN in which case a recruitment fee based on 20% of the staff members OSHN salary is payable by the parent to OSHN.

These provisions only apply where a staff member works or worked at the nursery when it was attended by the relevant parent’s child.
