Cultural Activities/ Additional Activities

Music and movement, nature study and art are also important parts of the Montessori curriculum. 

We are concerned with a child’s whole development and with this in mind they will be introduced to simple historical facts, geography and science. Children thoroughly enjoy learning all sorts of factual information if they are presented in an enlightened way. 

We have various animals living on our site, including ‘Penelope’ the pet tortoise, 2 guinea pigs ‘Bert’ and ‘Ernie’  as well as resident pet pig ‘Lucky’ who resides in our top field. The children are responsible for making sure the animals have food, water and cuddles, helping develop and kind and caring attitude to all.
